S N O W ! ! !

When Mom was visiting we also went siteseeing locally, mostly up route 100 in Vermont and around Montpelier, VT. Can't remember the exact location (shame on me) but one of the towns had the following rock & steel sculptures which were quite impressive, not only for their imaginative structures but also the sheer size and bulk of the material (solid rock & heavy steel).

Another interesting bit of rock art, maybe straight out of the Flintstones, is in the tourist center at the Rock of Ages in Graniteville, VT...of course. This is a large, active rock quary with a history/souvenir shop, outdoor exhibits of an old quary pit along with some of the equipment once used, and you can even take a sample chunk of granite with you (that's one way to clean up the old detritus!).

What journey is complete without a good dog dunking. This is probably a common sight for the lab owners out there, or anyone who knows Zeke.
