I had a lot of fun making the new "Jer Zone" logo this afternoon but now a strange visual illusion is affecting my eyes.  The letters are starting to look slightly 3d with rounded edges.  This after I made them using a cutout technique (imagine a paper stencil held slightly above the surface so there's an inner drop shadow).  Maybe it's because I shrunk the logo?  At this size the little pictures aren't too clear either.  What do you see: sunken or extruded letters?  Hag or young lady?

I think Zeke's logo came out nicely.  What-a-ham.

Ran into a few problems with Radio 8.  After I changed from publishing to a test directory to a real directory it didn't really "take" until I quit the app and restarted windows and then the system images didn't make the trip.  I had some other apps flake out too, so maybe windows had reached the oh my gosh have I been running for over a day need-to-reboot stage?  I'll have to try running Radio on OS X next.

What is this?

My old weblog tool, blogger, has been sucking pond water recently and I finally got fed up with it.  Coinciding with that I had downloaded the new release of Radio Userland 8.0.   I not only like the Radio 8.0 model (desktop browser app which publishes to net, various OS's) but also their cool implementation which goes far beyond CMS (content management system) to a webified information management gargantua.  Nice work guys!  Weblog heaven.

In case you are wondering what happened to my old weblogs you can find them at this link, Archive of old weblog, or it's twin in the bar to the far right.

Faith SkiingMore light snow this morning. Cross country skiing by our house is pretty good, especially since they groomed the snowmobile trails over the weekend and no snowmobiles have used them yet.

If you are in the area, or maybe planning a New England ski weekend, then here are some links to area x-country skiing information:

There's a trail up by the Dartmouth-Hitchcock medical center, but I couldn't find an online trail map. For the adventerous, there's the Farnum Hill trail system.  Here's a picture of the trail map.

A rails-to-trails starts in downtown Lebanon, NH and heads eastward, probably much further than you can handle, but there's nice scenery including a beautiful portion of trail on the less populated side of Mascoma lake. The downside (at least to me, others may consider this a plus) is that the trail is completely flat.  Rails to Trails in NH lists many of the the trails but the Lebanon->Enfield->Canaan area isn't shown.
