Rain, warm temps, eating away at the last vestiges of winter. Snow drifts disappear revealing winter's cast off containers of escapism: vodka, gin, beer...whipped cream. A hard winter indeed.
The equal opportunity melt off promotes roads to roaring rivulets and lowly ditches become creeks ("criks").
Mud season makes an all too eager appearance. Dog footsteps change from *crunch* *slish* *crack* to *splip* *splap* *splop*. Forget the welcome mat, you're coming in through the garage.
