For those of you who love unusual home-built projects here's the chronicle from a fellow building his own Submarine.
I feel I've finally gotten to the point where my friends no longer think I've lost my mind...they are now sure of it. Oh well, anyone can build a boat but very few would attempt to build a sub. Anyone can ride on the water but how many will get a chance to operate his own submarine under the sea.

He's using the same electric motor used in my electric car, although his Sub has two of them. That's 280lbs of motors, but apparently a drop in the bucket as you see how much steel is going into this two person craft. One mystery, at least to me, what are these saw teeth for? Makes me want to head upstairs and watch Das Boot again.
Along with the burgeoning Crocus & Chive plants the dreaded rockbergs surreptitiously bob along the lawn's surface. Scourge of the lawnmower blade and soil tiller, the true enormity of the rockberg is only revealed after much digging and prying.
