Dem ol dog bath blues...

A few interesting links to share this morning:

Jeff Stefan, from OnStar, has a good article on Embedded Intelligence over at Embedded Systems Programming.

David Williams is working on a new programming language called Dustyscript:
"The intent of this project is to write a programming language powerful enough to retain a 8/9-yr old's interest but simple enough...that the syntax can be grasped by them"

I've been playing around with cross-platform frameworks for a few days and so far two of them are worth noting: wxWindows and CPLAT. There's a huge list over at The GUI Toolkit, Framework Page. An OS X centric compilation has been put together by osx.hyperjeff.net. Mike Crawford has a column on various topics related to Cross-Platform Development. That and other articles can be found at GoingWare, Inc.'s Bag of Programming Tricks.

Haven't you always wanted to pack it up, move to the country, get back to your roots? How about making chips in Vermont? Here's your chance, IBM is looking to sell its Vermont semiconductor plant. Maybe if they could throw Ben & Jerry's in with the deal?
