Bowling For Doggers

Let me explain the rules of the game. Take an apple, pretty much any ol' apple found along pretty much any ol' New England road. Bowl the apple down the road, dog goes galloping after and retrieves the apple. Repeat. Eventually the dog eats the apple. Great fun for all.

Who could have anticipated Bowling For Doggers with tomatoes? Or that the dog would eat the tomato. Trust me, this is wonderful news.

For those who collect pictures of dogs eating tomatoes here's Zeke delicately dining on a fist sized morsel after a couple of rounds of BFD.

That it does. Nice sound effects too.

Apples work pretty good on lawns, but tomatoes have a poor rolling co-efficient and don't make it very far. Roads are better. The hardest part is that we've taught Zeke to stay off of roads and so he needs permission to run down the middle. Sometimes he just won't do it...running along the side of the road, waiting for the tomato/apple to get close enough to snag.

BTW, if you look in the right most picture (the "oh boy oh boy" one) you can see the tomato skid mark on the pavement.
