email thisMan, I keep forgetting to post the mushroom portfolio. So rather than sit down and try to pull all of the photos together into a nice package in one night I've decided to post a mushroom-a-day until all of the images are taken care of, or someone begs me to stop.
Have you ever seen the series of mushroom postage stamps/paintings done by Donald Evans (http://jas.faximum.com/jas_mus.htm)? That's what this picture reminds me of, with the mushroom so prominent in the frame. The paintings are reproduced in the book "The World of Donald Evans" (one of my favorites of all time) if you can find it.
I really like the look of the vertical leaves. Feels like the shroom just burst up moments before the shot.
