Lest you think all of our time is spent shooting water rockets, annoying insects, and shaving dogs.
The top photo is of this year's garden. A masterpiece of planned and unplanned growth (Faith can't resist volunteers). One reason for the photo is as proof in a month or so when the tomato plants are each VW Bug sized and sprawled like hippos in the heat. Then I will be able to point back at this orderly snapshot as proof.
The pond, and surrounding area, are getting a re-working. To give you a sense of scale the pond is around five by six foot and not quite two feet deep. Whitey (large white Koi) and company aren't getting any smaller and aren't wintering inside this year, so the pond will be expanded a few feet each direction and to a depth of three foot. That *should* make for a comfortable, freeze-less pond this winter.
The surrounding area is getting walkways, bushes, herb gardens, and probably some other random plants and creations along the way. It's one of those weekend projects that will be taking every weekend for the rest of the summer. I just wish the nephews and niece were visiting so I could introduce them to the joy of digging.
Watching the world go by!
What is in Zeke's mouth?
When we walked into the office this morning he waltzed right into another company's office and mooched a Ritz cracker.
Of course, you can't eat hard earned crackers right off the bat so he has been carrying it around like a tribal lip stretching device.
Crazy dog...
