A Good Day

Yesterday was a good day. After three and a half weeks the summer cold of doom seems to be over. I wouldn't recommend getting it, no fun. Not the kind of cold where you sit home drinking hot tea with honey, eating Swanson's TV dinners, and catching up on daytime soaps.

Sunrise

Walked home from work Monday. Since that didn't kill me I walked into work Tuesday as well. Zeke and I headed out as the Sun started warming the horizon, the valleys still smokey with night fog. Stopped to see the ducks at the beaver pond and spooked a blue heron that had been perched next to them like a dour chaperone.

At work I fixed bugs, wrote new ones, and released some apps. Three computer platforms and five development environments over the course of one day. Zeke growled when appropriate and moved his toys around the office ever hopeful.

The day ended with a promise of clear skies. Ted came over and we tried to find galaxies while the moon blew out our night vision. Eventually we gave up and stared at the moon through various lens combinations. It's great to have such an interesting satellite in our own backyard.
