We woke to a beautiful new layer of snow Monday morning. In the course of running errands we diverted for a waterfall break.
Dog therapy.
Zeke went dashing in every direction, miraculously cured! I hauled the tripod around and took a bunch of photos. As an encore I performed a nearly flawless full gainer into the ice. The judges docked a few points for the graceless flail to save the camera.
Snow had changed the character of the brook. Water flowed through greenish-white paths that looked like submerged snow drifts or slumbering sea manatee. The recent ice extrusions all had a frosty white topping and tree branches sported the latest in leaf-less winter wear.
This entry from a couple years ago shows a map of the Goodwin Park exercise area. The waterfall can be found down the hill from spot 9, at the School Street entrance. To get there head over to Storr's ski hill on Dulac street and walk the exercise trail. Or, if you head south out of Lebanon on rt120, you'll find a small, two car pull-off with a Goodwin Park sign hiding on the right side of the road about a block past Messenger St. Here's a map, all of the areas I'm talking about are in the bottom left.
WOW great job!! It makes me cold just looking at it!!
Finally I have managed to work out how to comment on your site! Beautiful set of photographs :-)
These are lovely Jerry. I hope the camera survived without harm. I'm assuming since we're looking at the photos that this is so.
Thanks everyone.
Yes, camera survived and I have a little bruise to remember it by. One of those, "oh, crap, what was I thinking?" moments.
Remember, you can always BUY a new camera! You can't always buy a new leg or arm or back.....
"We can make him BETTER!"
I have been enjoying this site for a year now. It's great!! I love Zeke the best. Bless you.- S.Martin
Howdy S. and welcome!
Yeah, we should probably just rename the site to "The Zeke Zone"
