I ran across this and thought I should share it as far and wide as I can. Consumer Reports has published an excellent article on Fuel economy and why you're not getting the mpg you expect. They found that most window sticker EPA gas mileage ratings for vehicles are off, by as much as 50% in some cases.

A must read article, if not a little disturbing and bile generating (towards the government/auto industry). They follow up with a chart of fuel efficient vehicles and a list of things we can do to help conserve fuel.
