Before and after of our Garage to Family Room project. I finished the outside this past weekend. Not sure yet if I like the wood on the sides, but it was kind of follows the theme of wood trim from the inside and, well, it can always be painted over. We are still on the fence about what kind of patio area, if any, goes in front of the doors. You can see the mockup here.

Yes to both. We have a deck in back, but it is shaded and windy, while this front spot is nice and sunny and sheltered.
It is fun, although it stretched the bounds of my abilities! Always good to learn new things though.
