Too many legs...
Too many legs

I took this yesterday, thinking it was a dead crane fly, trapped by a spider. Not so sure now, I mean look at all of them legs! Zooming in on the original some of the legs appear to taper out into spider web thinness, one even has a curly-q. Or maybe a daddy-long-legs with a few extra legs. It's not the best focus or exposure, but still an interesting object.

Speaking of crane flies. This morning while walking Raz in the woods I saw one hanging upside down under a leave just like this. There wasn't enough light to get a good photo and I figured it was dead anyways. On touching it, it flew away. Huh. A few minutes later a small crane fly (or something that looks like one) landed on a leaf, scooted to the edge, and then tipped over. It had a few legs holding on and ended upside down under the leaf. Not sure if this is how they sleep or a clever way to snag passing bugs.
