The big ice storm did a number on our two front yard trees. They'd been dying a bit over the last few years and this was the final straw. We hired our neighbor, Joey, to come over and take them the rest of the way down. Joe grew up down the street from us and remembers the trees first being planted when he was a kid some forty years ago. In those forty years the trees got bigger while Joe grew older, got married, built a log cabin across the street, sold it and built another house a couple miles away. Once Spring arrives we'll have to think about what trees we are going to plant in their stead for our little boy to grow up with.
