Faith's garden starts under a grow light to keep them from getting "leggy" like they did last year (thanks Andy!). With the Spring we've had it's tempting not just throw them outside, but a big storm is moving through and even a slight chance of snow is forecasted. We went for a walk yesterday and along the road's edge spotted these little yellow blooms. After a bit of searching I found that they are called: American trout-lily, dog-tooth violet. Apparently the roots are edible and taste like "a cucumber filled with sugar water". Sounds like Zane would love them.
