A few days in Sonoma, California

We took a break from our crazy New Hampshire winter to visit relatives in Silicon Valley as well as a quick jaunt up to wine country. Base camp was at the Hope-Merrill House Bed & Breakfast in Geyserville, CA. The options for visiting vineyards seemed overwhelming so we went hiking instead, taking advantage of the beautiful trails at Sonoma Lake.

Not to say we didn't stop at a couple of vineyards. We checked out Korbel to see their Champagne facilities. We also had a nice visit at Teldeschi vineyards, a small vineyard (recommended by our B&B hosts) which makes great Zins, a tasty Petite Syrah, and other reds. I particularly like the "Technical Data" on their wine write-ups. (p.s. if you buy wine from Teldeschi tell them the NH folks sent you)
