I recently upgraded my old G3 Mac tower to OS X (10.1). The only let down so far is that my old serial printer won't work with the new OS, but you can get around this by going to startup disk setup and telling it to boot with the old 9.x OS. OS X is very nice looking, seems to run very well, and fun to explore. I've just barely started playing with the Unix system underlying it, but it's cool to have all of that familiar Unix (including Perl) available.
