Drop Water TowerClassic Tower For decades now I have been annoying friends and family with the fantasy of converting an old water tower into a house. Growing up in Nebraska you can't help but notice these horizon popping landmarks. Think of the possibilities: indoor pool (lower level), walk around porch, outdoor barbeque, moon roof or small observatory, elevator, fire pole for quick escape, and the most commanding view around.  I'm not alone, here's a converted tower in California...a little short for my taste but what a feature list!

Dane has a tip on his weblog for finding RSS documents using Google's filetype filter.  Good idea!  While I was playing with this I got distracted (big surprise) and stumbled across another new Google feature: Catalog Searches.  Yep, test searches for cedar dog beds and nose hair proves that these are the same catalogs clogging our mailbox each week.  Oh happy day.

Advice to defeat the scourge: Hold on, please.

Have you ever reached someone's answering machine and thought it was them? I've wanted to make a recording like that full of "umm", "i dunno", "well", "could you repeat that", along with long distracted silences and muffled discussions with someone else. Next sales call you hit the play button and sit back to enjoy.

Good Morning!
