White Mountain Getaway

Cog Rail in Cloud Tops

Just got back from three great days of camping and hiking in the White Mountains with Faith and Zeke. We didn't backpack this year, instead opting for car/tent camping and day hikes. Of course I brought the camera along and will be uploading endless images over the next week. Some nice and serene, some bizzare, and at least one that just doesn't make sense.

Cool Water Flow

We didn't hike anything quite as strenuous as the Mt. Moosilauke trail Chelsea, Jake, and I blasted up last year, but we hiked about six miles each day. It was topped off with a hike up Mt Jackson (bagged another 4,000 footer) today, over the saddle to Mt Webster and back down, around six miles worth of prime New England grade rock scrabbling. We are all a bit sore and Zeke's a little wobbly in his bum back leg.
