I can't tell from the exif if vr was going and I can't remember. This is from a long series of shots which started with VR while standing next to a tree. After a while my back started getting tired so I turned off VR and started shooting off of a tripod.
Tomorrow's photo is from the same sequence but from further away and through a lot of branches.

You need a sherpa to carry that lens for you.
