I'll let you in on a little secret. When you see a black and white shot on this site it most likely means I screwed up the color version so bad that the only remaining hope was de-saturation.
Like the haunted bunny trail here.
We went cross-country skiing in the woods by our house and I tossed the D70 over my shoulder at the last minute. It was a beautiful bright and warm (30°F!) day, just what our spirits needed. While Faith and I followed someone's ski tracks Zeke followed every other track he could find.
There were deer tracks, dog tracks, bird, mouse, squirrel, and other unidentified skitterings in the snow. And there were the tracks shown in the photo. Faith suggested snow snake. I reasoned Rabbit. Individual tracks were hard to make out as the whole surface was well packed and travelled. The snow at the edges was smooth, rounded.
I figure a phalanx of fat, furry rabbits hopping up and down the trail, bumpity bump against the sides, winter coats smoothing the pathway.
it looks really gorgeous in B&W :-)
You have made some nice snow picutres over the last days! So good that you had your camera with you. I wish we had a little bit more snow here.
