On Friday I ordered a new PowerBook from Apple. They had a deal to double the memory (to a gig!) for an additional forty bucks, while other online stores offered a free inkjet printer (I'm thinking that a free inkjet is like getting a free electric heater from the power company). Checking the Fedex tracking number I see that my little computer has a big journey ahead of it. So far it has travelled from Taoyuan City, Taiwan out to the CKS International Airport (which has a nice little website). It is most likely winging its way eastward for a stop in Indianapolis.
At the last job I made an app which plotted package shipment waypoints on a map. Amazon shipments were predictable, but others were more interesting to watch. Too bad you can't accrue frequent flier credit for miles your purchases have flown.
You will not be disappointed...the new PowerBook is sweet. 677 or 800MHz? Like I even need to ask!
