For Jake... According to the Magnetic Gun Club an AA battery has a few times more power than a 9mm bullet. But, as they point out, The trick is how to convert the chemical energy into mechanical kinetic energy. Instead of a railgun I was thinking it might be more fun to retrofit an old hot wheels track to be powered by magnetic coils.
