This looks like a fun way to share your travels with others: IndyJunior. It's a little flash app that plots out a series of locations (dates, names, latitude, longitude) on a world map. Here's an example from Megnut's recent trip. Another tool I've used is the Great Circle Mapper, especially useful if your travels involve airports. IndyJunior has nice presentation and mouse-over labelling, although there are a few odd bugs with text placement.
