This bunch of flowers is about fist size. The blooms are dinky.
We stumbled across an area that was scraped clean by loggers a year or so ago and it is now bursting with little knots of these blossoms. Kind of like the shaggy mane mushrooms which seem to thrive on the edge of freshly plowed dirt roads.
