Via various links I found Kevin Kelly's Asia Grace. He originally produced it as book, which you can buy at bookstores or Amazon. The web version is, of course, low-res but it features comments not found in the book, both from Kevin and his visitors.
Be sure to check out the info page which not only describes his years of visiting Asia and taking the photos, but how he eventually weeded through 40,000 photos and published a book. It only took thirty years!
