Google Math

Google does math. Stuff like 1 + 1, 10^2, and 18 cos (47 degrees) but you can also do tricks with units.

Fun stuff! I couldn't convince google to tell me how many pounds are in a gallon, but that's really dependent on what you have gallons of. Telling them it was water didn't seem to help. Still, I'm sort of disappointed that you can use a google in your equations. They will tell you how may inches are in a light year so it's not like they don't do big numbers.

This also means that with a bit of HTML trickery you can put equations into your web pages. Here's a little form for calculating the height of a water rocket (assumes the viewer is 5.5 foot tall)

Distance of viewer from launch pad
Angle in degrees from pad to rocket apogee
