Ran across a middle-earth name translator today and it says:
Dear Jerry Halstead, If you were a Hobbit, your name would be Bugrin Rafter and if you were a (male) Man, your name would be Taenyc and if you were an Elf, your name would be Amon and if you were a Dwarf, your name would be Magan and if you were an Orc, your name would be Rugdish Your nearest Tavern might be called The Dirty Dog and your sword would be called Naraithas
I started off the day debugging a CSS problem between The How Zone and IE 5.5. Not having 5.5 and not really wanting to go through the pain of reverting a windows machine back in time I searched the net for another solution. I remembered reading this article late last year but couldn't remember where it was.
I found that Ryan, over at skyzyx.com, has been kind enough to provide downloadable standalone versions of IE 5.5, 5.01, 4.01, and 3.0.
The bug turned out to be IE's failure to properly handle (or ignore) print media css files. Grumble. Checking out Ryan's homepage led to the middle-earth translator. When it said my nearby tavern would be called The Dirty Dog, I just knew they were psychic!
