With the warm weather and ample rain the pond landscaping is starting to fill in. The extreme cold may have done in the bamboo but everything else seems to have made it.
The blue raft in the pond is Gilligan's Island, a little flotilla I'm experimenting with. It provides the fish a place to hide under and the holes in it ensure the plants on top keep watered. As a guide to perspective the raft is about two and a half feet in diameter and would probably be better at twice the size. The fish like it and it's becoming a popular toad vacationing spot.
looks great, bear proof?
