Sunspot 672

Sun spot 672 has been acting up over the past few days and maybe more on the way. As Space Weather puts it, Sun spot 672 has a twisted "delta-class" magnetic field that poses a threat for strong M-class solar flares.

Northern states might see some aurora tonight, more likely for the Canadians and Alaskans. The star viewing has been great over the past few nights but with Ivan storming up the gulf it may be a while before the skies clear again.
