Grandma turned 104 on Saturday. All the best to her, although I doubt she's ever read this weblog much less seen the web.
My favorite Grandma experience was a few days after my Grandpa died. I'd just moved to the VT/NH area and called her from a pay phone to offer my condolences.
Gr: "Well, after you've spent most of your life with someone there's a hole when they are suddenly gone..."
Me: "Uh huh"
Gr: "...not that YOU'LL ever know anything about that!"
Me: "Hey! I'm trying, I even have a girlfriend now."
Speaking of fiesty and unpredictable, Dennis has confounded forecasters and regained pretty much all of the energy it had lost slamming Cuba. Best wishes to everyone for a safe ride through this monster storm.
Here's some live tv feeds: Miami, FL, Mobile, AL.
I don't think you had a girlfriend at that point! We didn't start dating till after Christmas. You didn't have a phone when he died and you did have one after Christmas.
Unless there was somebody else....
I think you are right and that I actually said something like "I'm working on it."
Who else could there be? ":^)
squirm out of that one!
Nice save, Jerry... ;-)
