Thus ends the "blue eyed frozen lawn statue" series, which I'm sure Faith is happy to hear.
I've been meaning to photograph a couple of them from the same yard, featuring a separate boy and girl "fishing." They have the most haunting eyes/expressions I've seen...and not just for lawn ornaments...that it's all too easy to imagine they were frozen like that for all time by some evil warlock or witch.
But they have been retired (actually I think it's their legs showing in an earlier post) and replaced by this new set of branch-sitting statues. Not quite as haunting but pretty darn close. Even the frog looks disturbed.

I liked the series. They reminded me of a salt and pepper shaker set I had once, a long time ago.
