This was taken off the dock leading to the Palo Alto (Cement ship) in Aptos, CA. I've boosted the contrast a bit and then the transition to jpg altered the colors a little bit more, but overall it was a very green, visceral looking ocean. Here's a satellite image of Phytoplankton that reminded me of this photo.
