It's been a long Summer, most of it I spent halfway across the US. While I was gone a bunch of stuff broke, as these things often do, and as a result the lawn was becoming rather jungle like. While mowing yesterday I ran across this Praying Mantis. I'd never seen one in New Hampshire before and had no idea they could be found this far north. According to this page it's the state insect in Connecticut, while New Hampshire's is the Lady Bug.
