It Lives!
Cell Phone Guts

A close-up of the inside of the highly integrated circuitry formerly known as "Jerry's Cellphone." It was working fine until I leaned over one day to give Zeke a bowl of water and the phone took a suicidal dive into the dog dish. Despite an immediate rescue, drying, and cleaning the phone was lost.

Not broken, mind you, but shocked into some sort of self-awareness, a fusing of a new life between micro-circuitry and dog slobber. "What is the sound of one hand clapping?" it mused while pressing keys distractedly on its own. "If a tree falls in the forest..." it began to contemplate before shutting itself off, only to turn back on a minute later surprised and strangely refreshed.

All in all an interesting transformation, but the newness wore off after waking in the middle of the night to find the phone blinking its white LEDs to the heavens, presumably a call to Galaxy NGC 5746 for a taxi ride home.
