Another big rain storm came through but this time instead of freezing rain it reached a balmy 52°. That's great because our roof had a thick, solid cap of ice-snow sandwich that I was starting to worry about and the storm all but dissolved it. The garage flooded, but I guess that's the price you pay.

At the office I watched as the river rose and the ice upstream broke up. At one point I looked out and thought there was an iceberg floating by. Really more of an ice-raft. No frozen movie stars clinging to it either.

Started playing with another quick-weblog type of service a couple weeks ago called Tumblr. Really quick and easy (and free!) to get a tumblr weblog set up. The real power is in the tumblr bookmark. Drag it to your browser's bookmark bar and whenever you are on a page containing something you want to share you click the bookmark. A little window pops up and it takes its best guess what you might want to publish (link, photo, movie) and provides tabs to let you choose how and what you want to publish. You can also follow other people's tumblr's from within your tumblr dashboard. It's easier to use than to have me describe it. My tumblr is at ztoa.
