Two days ago an Evebing Grosebeak was at a friend's feeder. I only once saw the in AC before, and it seemed to be late for one to be hanging around. Neat birds. The Black Headed Grosebeaks next by my place, and I do see the Red Breasted ones now and then in the spring.

What kind are they? My bird books are only for the Western Region.These are MIA here!

Those are Evening Grosbeaks. We also get another variety that's black/white/red (Rose-breasted), but they haven't shown up yet.
