The Golden Rule is - if your dog is trying to take the hat off, YOU TAKE IT OFF, then give him a rest before trying it on again. It is important that your dog knows and is reassured by the fact that YOU are in control. Repetition of the training procedure will bring success in this, as in all other, training efforts.
