Time to exercise the right side of the brain with a trip over to The Open Book Project. Featuring Allen Downey's How to think like a computer scientist series (Java, Python, and C++). Lessons in electric circuits by Tony R. Kuphaldt and there's the Getting Down With series of tutorials written by high school students for high school students. Which doesn't mean that an old fogey can't learn more by getting down with VI. VI is a common Unix editor or, in the wrong hands, an efficient file mangler (speaking from past experience). I think VI is an abbreviation for "Vanishes Instantly" or "Vaporize to Infinity."
