In a selfish way I'd like to feel indirectly responsible for this, having just upgraded to photoshop 6.0 two days ago. Coincidentally, after waiting two months for new G4's to be announced, I bought what was out and a week later the 1ghz G4s arrived...cheaper. You know how they offer "extended service" insurance? How about impending upgrade insurance?
