Here's an article on how an email address, given at a single site, becomes the target of an endless stream of spammers. Sad.

There's another side to spam, finding servers to send it. In looking through my logs I regularly see goofballs trying to find a email scripts they can hijack. For example, jxffrey@aol.com appears to have a script which looks for the common /cgi-bin/FormMail.cgi script and uses it to send himself an email when one is found. It's a common hack, but certainly not the only one.
