kirk Kirk left today but not before mastering the elusive parachute deployment system for our water bottle rockets. Creating a reliable means to deploy the lightweight parachute without using any circuits, explosives, or even metal is tough. The rocket takes off at speed exceeding 100mph, reaches an apogee of a hundred feet or more, and then topples over for the descent.
