Faith went to let Tink outside and Tink froze at the threshold, terrified. Faith sees a young doe munching on lawn (go deer go!), while Tink sees a huge cat eating predator grinding it's teeth in anticipation of another black cat sandwich. * Z I N G *...back in the house!
Still, there hasn't been as much wildlife as last year when I saw fox, coyote, mink, moose, deer, turkey, and a fischer cat. Ok, this year I've seen Elk but it hardly counts. The elk are in a large fenced area (acres and acres) in the middle of the woods south of here. I haven't figured out if they are making a mini game preserve, petting zoo, or breeding area. Another ten or so miles south there's a very large, and very private game preserve with all manner of wild animal inside. Faith and I stumbled across it while hiking many years ago, out of nowhere we run into a twelve foot high fence with black SUVs patrolling the inner perimeter.
