Not one of my better sunspot photos. We have strong, gusty winds and they are blowing the clouds (and the occasional snow flake) around like crazy so it is hard to get the sun to stay clean and focused long enough for a glamour shot. That's quite a pair of sunspots.
There have been a few CMEs (coronal mass ejections) and Space Weather predicts auroras during the next 48 hours.

I think you need a 20" reflector to get in really close. You can mount it in your new rooftop observatory.

Thanks. There has been some concern as to the misplacement of whimsy, which we are looking into.
The Vermont shot was taken from a hilltop in NH looking over the Connecticut into VT. Probably towards your house. There might be a little bit of NH along the edges.
