Hiking the northern half of Farnum Trail today we ran across something quite unexpected. This spot is about a mile or two from the nearest road. After a little research I think that they might be some form of Tibetan Long Life prayer flags. Anyone?
While traveling in Siberia in 1991 I saw the local Buddhists tying their prayer flags to trees. I haven't seen them draped like that before, it's very graceful.
They are prayer flags. They're relatively visible over here.
