For the Mac OS X users out there (or unix/linux folks thinking of becoming ones) here's part four of Learning the Mac OS X Terminal featuring fun with saved terminal configurations and Streamripper. This saved terminal settings w/executed command line is also good for things you do often. For example you could make a custom icon in your dock that once clicked creates a long narrow window at the bottom of the screen, automatically tailing your web server log file.
